Charles Joy Livermore (they/he) is an interdisciplinary artist and educator. He earned a BFA in Photography and an MA in Communication Studies from Ball State University. Livermore’s primary body of work, Deconstruction, is a practice of unraveling fabric, thread by thread. The movement and visual language of this material practice informs his queer post-structuralist approach to rhetorical theory. Livermore earned the top debut paper award in autoethnography at the 2022 Central States Communication Association Conference. He also performed his paper i burn the past in the present, to the future as the past through the present: an exploration of queer and christian temporalities at UCLA’s 2022 Q Grad Conference.
